Removed this cool feature, now so many people will not be able to do group video calls simultaneously! – whatsapp removed whatsapp messenger rooms shortcut features which allow up to 50 participants to join a group video call on facebook

WhatsApp keeps on adding new features to make its app more user friendly. Recently, the company made its multi-device support available for non-beta users. But according to a report by WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app has now removed one of its popular features, which it added a year ago – WhatsApp Messenger Rooms Shortcut.

As per the report, “More than a year ago, WhatsApp released a useful shortcut to create Messenger Rooms that allowed up to 50 participants to join a group video call on Facebook. But now WhatsApp is finally removing this option and removing it from the chat share sheet and also removing the call section on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.

The feature was not getting good response
This feature was later brought to Instagram and then it was also released for WhatsApp. With the introduction of this feature, Android users of WhatsApp can create or join a room through WhatsApp itself. The report further states, “WhatsApp verifies what features their users use. If the features did not succeed, it means that it is time to modify it. In this case, they have verified that the option is not used, so they may have thought it would be better to remove it, maybe the next update will include a good replacement.”

Recently, the company introduced a special feature through which users will now be able to transfer chats from iOS to Android. WhatsApp has officially released this chat migration feature. At present, this feature has been introduced by WhatsApp for Samsung’s smartphones. The company did this chat migration feature during the Galaxy Unpacked event last month. But at that time this feature was released only for foldable phones.
